In "Good Will Hunting," Matt Damon portrays Will Hunting, a genius-level mathematician from South Boston who works as a janitor at MIT. He's a talented but troubled young man, prone to getting into trouble with the law. After solving an advanced math problem, a professor (Stellan Skarsgård) recognizes his potential and, after Will is arrested, makes a deal with the court: Will must attend therapy and work with the professor in exchange for leniency. Will is forced to go to therapy with a therapist, Sean Maguire (Robin Williams), who helps him confront his past and realize his potential. Along the way, Will also develops a relationship with Harvard pre-med student, Skylar (Minnie Driver), as he learns to confront his past trauma and fears.
