Brantley Foster is a recent college graduate from Kansas who travels to New York City to work for a large investment firm. However, his position is eliminated during a hostile takeover, and he's forced to take a job in the mailroom at his distant uncle Howard Prescott's company. Brantley notices how poorly the company is run and creates a position to improve operations. He also pretends to be an executive, keeping this a secret from his uncle and his dream girl.
