A decade after his fall from the World Trade Center, King Kong is miraculously still alive—but in a coma. In a bold scientific effort, a team of doctors led by Dr. Amy Franklin (Linda Hamilton) prepares to save Kong’s life with an artificial heart. But there's a problem: Kong has lost too much blood, and only a transfusion from another giant ape can save him.
Enter Lady Kong, a female of Kong’s species discovered deep in the jungles of Borneo. She’s captured and brought to the U.S., and the heart surgery is a success. But when Kong awakens and senses the presence of a mate, the two titans escape their confines and flee into the wilderness.
As the military hunts them down, the film follows Kong and Lady Kong's bond, their struggle for survival, and the eventual birth of their child. In a mix of action, romance, and monster movie spectacle, King Kong Lives pushes the legend forward—culminating in a final confrontation where love and tragedy collide.
