This one-off event brought together an unparalleled lineup of international artists performing the words and music of John Lennon, including:

• Joe Cocker, Natalie Cole, The Moody Blues, Lou Reed, Al Green, B.B. King, Lenny Kravitz, Cyndi Lauper, Kylie Minogue, Terence Trent D’Arby, Wet Wet Wet, Hall & Oates, The Herbie Hancock Jazz Set and more.

Special filmed contributions came from Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr (with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Joe Walsh & Jim Keltner), Ray Charles, and Dave Stewart (with Bobby Womack, Roger McGuinn & special guests).

Presented by Mike Read and hosted by Christopher Reeve & Ali MacGraw, the event became a landmark in live tribute performances, uniting legends across genres to honour Lennon’s legacy.
