Based on the book Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo (We Children of Zoo Station), this biographical drama stars Natja Brunckhorst as a 13-year-old 'Christiane Vera Felscherinow' a well know German actress and musician, following her journey of drug addiction and recovery.
This movie received critical acclaim and had a cult following throughout Europe. The film itself speaks about drug abuse and a key focus was the use of heroin during a David Bowie concert, for which David Bowie himself appears and discusses this.
