Rollerball is a 1975 action, sci-fi, and sports film about a violent, futuristic game that controls the masses in a corporate-controlled society. Rollerball is a brutal, extreme sport played on a circular, slanted track by men on skates and motorbikes. The goal is to score a point by placing the ball in the opposing team's goal. The corporate owners want Jonathan to retire because they see his popularity as a threat to their control. When Jonathan refuses, they change the rules of the game to kill him.
