Originally released in 1980, Raging Bull is a brilliant sports drama that was based on a memoir by boxer Jake LaMotta. The film was directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Robert De Niro as Jake LaMotta, a middle-weight boxer on a self-destructive streak. The movie also stars Joe Pesci as Joey, Jake's brother and manager, along with Cathy Moriarty who plays Vickie LaMotta, Jake's wife.
