'The first and greatest rock festival film ever.'
Originally released in 1968, Monterey Pop is a fantastic American concert film, produced and directed D.A. Pennebaker, following the Monterey Pop Festival of 1967. The film features some incredible iconic musicians, from The Who, Jimi Hendrix, The Animals, Simon and Garfunkel, Otis Redding and Mamas and Papas, to Jefferson Airplain, Jani Joplin, Country Joe and The Fish, Canned Heat, Ravi Shankar and Hugh Masekela.
This film ended with the iconic moment that Jimi Hendrix set his guitar on fire and smashed it to pieces, throwing part of it into the crowd!
We have this single-sided and rolled UK Quad (30 x 40 inches) listed in very fine condition, due to some light marks and creasing.
