Released in 1984, the film stars Marcello Mastroianni, one of Italy's biggest film stars at the time, as Henry IV.
The film was based on the 1921 play of the same name by Luigi Pirandello and follows an Italian Aristocrat that falls off a horse. The man awakens, believing he is Henry IV, and for the next 20 years, his family put on an elaborate charade to maintain this lie!
