Original 1999 - BLUR X – Exhibition Poster + Graham Coxon Art Print
A superb late-90s Blur pairing combining one of the band’s rarest exhibition posters with an original Graham Coxon art print — two beautifully contrasting pieces from the closing chapter of the Britpop era.
The first poster was produced for Blur X: 1990–1999, the celebrated London exhibition held at The Lux Gallery, Hoxton Square in September 1999, marking ten years of Blur’s rise from indie outsiders to one of Britain’s defining bands. Featuring the iconic Mel Ramos “Hippopotamus” artwork associated with the Blur: The Best Of campaign, this instantly recognisable design has become one of the most sought-after Blur display pieces of the era.
Paired with it is an original Graham Coxon art print — raw, expressive and deeply personal — showcasing the guitarist’s distinctive outsider-art aesthetic that would later become central to his solo artistic identity.
Together, the two pieces perfectly capture the collision of music, art and Britpop culture at the turn of the millennium.
The vibrant, playful exhibition poster and the darker, introspective Coxon artwork create an exceptional visual contrast — one celebrating Blur’s public legacy, the other revealing the more personal artistic world behind the band.
A genuinely cool and unusual pairing from one of Britain’s most influential bands.
Original vintage items showing light age and handling wear consistent with authentic late-90s display material.
