The film is largely set in Beverly Hills, during the night of the 1968 election where Richard Nixon is elected president. George Roundy, a charismatic hairdresser, dreams of opening his own beauty parlor, but his actions often get in the way of his ambitions. George, known for his motorcycle and his charm, spends the night moving between the homes of wealthy clients, engaging in a series of affairs and ultimately, a night of chaos and seduction.
